Fall Is Here - Let's Celebrate!

So, I'm loving the colder weather!  It's around 65 in the mornings and it's only getting to 80 in the afternoons, which believe me - that's cooler in Alabama!  To celebrate the advent of Fall, I'm giving away a tie and diaper cover set in TAN.  I don't have any pictures yet of this one, so I'm shamelessly hoping whoever wins will send me a picture. :)  To enter, post a comment with your favorite fall weather clothing item.  I'll pick a winner later tonight using random.org.  Good luck!

Getting Ready for Pike Road

Good morning!  Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE to crochet?  Like, I get soooo excited when I have a new project to make, almost as excited as I get for Christmastime, which is pretty dang excited.  I'm beginning to collect ideas for a craft show I'm attending as a vendor in November in Pike Road, AL and I'm pumped about some of the things that I'll be making for it.  I found this wonderful yarn (that my husband says is awful) and it's soooo soft and easy to work with!  I think I'm going to make some earflap hats and some flower headbands out of it.

And then, there are the fun Auburn/Alabama hats to make!  My husband had this awesome idea of making hats that look like the old-fashioned football helmets that each team wears, and I think they'll be a great hit.  I made the first earflap hat for the School Spirit line a couple of days ago and here's my 6-year-old modeling it.  I will probably do beanies and earflaps hats in a few different styles for each team, and I think they'll be cute.

I'm also working on some newborn gifts for a friend that will be super duper cute!  After I get them worked up I'll post a few pictures of those.  The stitch patterns on these new little things are absolutely beautiful and I'm looking forward to having pictures to post of these.  Check back soon, and if you have any ideas for things you'd like to see at the craft show (or in the shop), leave a comment!
